Media Defender makes a boo boo, I hope that they have good lawyers

Last week, the great people over at Media Defender were accused of shut ting down the Revision 3 website with a denial of service attack. If you are not familiar with Media Defender, you should be. They are the ones that the record companies, movies companies and pretty much anyone who owns distributed and copyrighted material out there hires to take down peoples websites that share these files using bit torrent. I don't see how that is legal at all but then again, I'm not a lawyer. I think that this is a hilarious mistake made by Media Defender to shut down the website of the company that actually owns the material that they are distributing. Revision 3 produces many pod casts and other forms of media through various websites. The files that triggered this to happen was apparently pod casts being distributed using legal bit torrent sharing programs. The website was down for a full three days before it was made public that Media Defender was accused of being the source. I am a big fan of the Revision 3 pod casts and was a little surprised that during this period I was not able to get any new material from my sources that distribute Revision 3 pod casts. I hope that Revision 3 gets a HUGE settlement from these douche bags. These are the same guys that tried to shut down The Pirate Bay and did actually shut down Torrent Spy for a short time. I wouldn't be surprised if some grey hat hackers turned the tables on these sell outs and shut down their entire service. (Not that I condone that) Oh yeah, here is a picture of the president and CEO of this company. Like I said, bags of douche.
